Career Choice Guidance

The test gives an indication of the child's:

 

  • IQ

  • Interests

  • Personality

  • Values

  • Emotional Development

 

Possible career choices/ fields of study are identified. The child must then do research on the suggested careers and talk to people who work in those fields.

 

A follow-up session can be set up if the child is still unsure.

 

The test is done individually and, with the feedback session, takes between 3 to 4 hours.

Gr 9 Subject Choice Guidance

The testing consists of an IQ Test, interest and personality questionnaires and an evaluation to diagnose possible emotional problems.

 

The right choices for Grade 10 subjects, as well as referrals, for instance, an eye test, emotional problems, concentration problems, study methods, etc. are given.

 

The testing is done individually and, with the feedback session, takes between 2 to 3 hours.

  • Screening for ADD / ADHD or underlying neurological problems.

  • Identifying of correct study method

  • Personality

  • Interest

  • Emotional Development

Gr 7 Aptitude Tests

The Aptitude Test gives an indication towards which field of study the child develops.

 

The tests also give guidance as to which type of school would be best for the child, for example, a school that specializes in Academics, Art or Technical subjects, etc

 

The assessment takes approximately 2 hours to complete and includes:

 

  • IQ

  • Screening for ADD / ADHD or underlying neurological problems.

  • Scholastic Levels

  • Identifying correct study methods

  • Emotional Development

  • Interest

 

School Readiness Tests

An individual evaluation can be done in the practice, which includes:

 

  • An IQ test

  • Screening for ADD / ADHD or underlying neurological problems

  • Screening for basic perceptual skills

  • School Readiness

  • Emotional development

 

Followed by a written report.  

 

In the case that the testing is done at a school/playschool or nursery school, the following is done:

 

A part of the test is done in a group (+ - 30 min), followed by a section that is done individually (+ - 35 min). 

Feedback is given to the parents and the results are summed up in a written report.

Tests & Guidance

General Assessments

Children 3 - 18 years of age.

Pre-schoolers

The test gives an indication of the child's:

Gr 1 and Older

  • IQ

  • Screening for ADD / ADHD or underlying neurological problems.

  • Screening for necessary perceptual skills

  • Scholastic Levels: Reading, Spelling, Math, Writing Speed, etc

  • Study Methods (Gr. 3 and older)

  • Emotional Development

 

Concession

The full test battery is required to determine if the learner qualifies for any form of concession. For instance, additional time, a scribe, etc. 

The assessment takes approximately 2 -3 hours to complete.
